Strategic Economic Research, LLC performed an economic impact study for the Duane Arnold Nuclear Center Recommissioning. This report evaluates the economic impacts of DAEC recommissioning (“Project”) on Linn County, the state of Iowa, the Midwest, and across the United States. Over the modeled construction and 25-year operating period, the total development is anticipated to generate:
$15.9 billion in economic impact to the United States and $9.1 billion in economic impact across the state of Iowa
$8.2 billion in economic impact and $3.2 billion in labor earnings in Linn County
393 new direct, full-time, high-quality jobs at DAEC in Linn County during operations, increasing site total to 433 total direct jobs
