Cleanpower 2024

At this year’s Cleanpower 2024 conference, Strategic Economic Research had almost all our full-time staff in attendance. It has been exciting to grow as a company in number of employees and also number of clients. In 2023, we worked with 33 renewable energy development companies.

We had the opportunity to meet with several existing clients as well as developers that are new to our services. As more solar & wind projects are permitted and built throughout the U.S., developers need to quantify the economic benefits that their projects will bring to local communities.

 From a team-building standpoint we enjoyed many events and meals together as a group throughout the week. Some highlights include:

• Tim Roberts, Manager of Data Analysis, made a field goal on the field where the Minnesota Vikings play. We had a great time at the opening reception for the conference!

• Minneapolis had some great restaurant options, including Fogo De Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse.

• Ethan Loomis, VP of Marketing/Sales, ran a 5K through the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden with other attendees.

•  On the last day, employees met together to do some big-picture planning & brainstorming for the company. This session included time to discuss how we can further improve our consulting services and analyses.

We appreciated the time to meet with many of our clients in person. As we are a growing company with employees that work virtually, it’s important to have these times to connect through a handshake instead of a screen.
