Staff Feature: Deborah Dingess, Director of Property Tax Research
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with one of our newest staff members, Deborah, who is our Director of Property Tax Research. Take a look at her interview below!
How did you hear about SER?
I saw the job posting for my current role on LinkedIn. I thought the role aligned perfectly with what I was looking for in my career so I applied, and Bryan reached out to interview me and to give me more information on the company.
What is your current role and main responsibilities?
My current role is Director of Property Tax Research. I work with Bryan, Tim and Julian on the property tax team. My main responsibilities include researching and staying up to date on property tax regulations for renewable energy projects for each state, assisting with property tax analyses and ensuring accuracy on SER’s current property tax resources.
Outside of work what are you passionate about? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I am a huge dog lover. I have 4 dogs and enjoy volunteering with dog shelters and rescue organizations in my free time. I also train in mixed martial arts, like to attend sporting events, and love trying out new restaurants around town.
What are you most excited about in the future of your role and the company as a whole?
I am excited to hit the ground running and make a positive impact here at SER. Everyone I’ve met here has been awesome, so I am excited to work with everyone and see how SER grows along with the future of renewable energy!
What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?
Probably that I am fluent in 3 other languages (Hindi, Portuguese and Spanish)
